Charge your phone
Make sure it has enough battery for the full period you intend to use DoorShield.
DOORSHIELD HELP CENTRE
Simple instructions for protecting a hotel door, bag or luggage with your phone, plus clear information about compatible Bluetooth sensors.
GETTING STARTED
Make sure it has enough battery for the full period you intend to use DoorShield.
Allow the permissions requested by the app and confirm your phone volume is high enough for the alarm.
Use Phone Mode when the phone itself will detect movement. Use Sensor Mode only after a compatible sensor shows as connected.
Always test the exact position and sensitivity before relying on DoorShield in a new environment.
HOTEL DOOR PROTECTION
Select Phone Mode and choose a medium sensitivity as a starting point.
Place the phone against the inside of the hotel door where movement of the door will transfer to the phone. Make sure it cannot fall.
Start the arming countdown, place the phone, then avoid touching the door once the countdown ends.
Gently move the door to confirm the alarm triggers. Adjust sensitivity if required, then re-arm.
BAG GUARD MODE
Place it inside a secure compartment where lifting or moving the bag will move the phone. Do not leave the phone loose where it may slide from normal vibration.
Begin at medium sensitivity and perform a controlled lift test. Increase it if movement is missed or reduce it if ordinary vibration causes false alarms.
Open DoorShield and enter your PIN before moving the bag or removing the phone.
BLUETOOTH SENSOR MODE
Keep it close to the phone and make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
Select Sensor Mode in DoorShield and wait until the app clearly displays a connected status.
Attach or place it so movement of the protected object transfers directly to the sensor.
Check the connection, battery reading and alarm response in the exact location where it will be used.
The dedicated DoorShield Smart Sensor is still in development and testing. Do not buy an unconfirmed sensor expecting guaranteed compatibility. Contact DoorShield support for the latest compatible-sensor guidance and availability.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Increase sensitivity, secure the phone or sensor more firmly and repeat a controlled movement test.
Reduce sensitivity and check whether vibration, doors closing nearby or loose placement affected the protected item.
Switch it off and on, keep it close to the phone, confirm Bluetooth permission and reopen Sensor Mode. Do not arm until the connected status is visible.
Wait briefly after connection. If it still does not appear, reconnect and keep the sensor close until the first reading arrives.
IMPORTANT
DoorShield is an alarm and monitoring aid. It cannot guarantee prevention of theft, loss, unauthorised entry or personal harm.
Use it alongside normal locks, secure storage, hotel safes and sensible personal-security precautions. Never put yourself at risk to investigate an alarm.
